Christel Witteveen (1968) studied business administration at Nyenrode University and following that she graduated as an economist from the University of Amsterdam. She started a career in business as assistant controller at Stork NV and later she worked as a financial advisor with ING Bank. In 2000 she discovered that she had a talent for writing. Her writing skills and her knowledge and experience got her a job with Quote Finance magazine. In 2002 she established herself as a freelance journalist in Utrecht. Christel combines academic intellect with a clear style of writing. She is interested in social economic issues such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), socially responsible investing (SRI) and economic and financial development of developing countries.
